"China Cove Pt. Lobos" in Carmel

I was down in Carmel last week and was able to do some sketching and took many reference photographs in beautiful Pt. Lobos just south of the village. This is the iconic China cove which is on the south side of the park and not to be missed. I'm going to paint this in a larger format (18"x24") in the near future. Good fun!

"Spring Runoff in the Mountains"

Spring runoff in the mountains. I was up in Lake Tahoe today and the snow is starting to melt in earnest. Waterfalls are really going and on the way back home heavy downpours entering the foothills.
