"Tahoe Vista Meadow" Hints of Autumn

This is a meadow up on the north shore of Lake Tahoe, just before you reach Kings Beach coming from Tahoe City. I have driven by this meadow and pond so many times saying I'm going to paint it. Finally did. Just starting to get Autumn colors up in the high country.

"Twin Peaks - Lake Tahoe"

This location has been visited several times on the west shore of Lake Tahoe. Skiing down the backside of Alpine Meadows\Squaw Valley you will see this great vista. This past week I was up in the meadows north of these peaks and plan on painting a few small studio pieces with these peaks in he background.

"Laguna Beach - Study"

Laguna Beach small oil study. This is from Heisler park on the north end of town near divers cove. There was a man sitting on the bench next to me who was going to dive, but decided not due to heavy fog that burned off very quickly. This study shows the fog just about gone. (The painting has much more color than this picture captured.)

"St Remy De Provence - Landscape"

This is from the town St Remy De Provence at the Saint-Paul Asylum Where Vincent Van Gogh painted a large amount of paintings including (nearby Arles) the very famous  Starry_Night_Over_the_Rhone. This view is just as you enter into the asylum. He painted this grove of olive trees from several angles.We spent a morning at this location touring the asylum and the grounds.

I getting ready to spend a week with two very good plein air artists up in the Sierras in a couple of weeks.

"West Shore Lake Tahoe - Blackwood Canyon Creek"

This is a favorite location to paint in Blackwood Canyon on the West shore of Lake Tahoe, not too far from Homewood. This is a Spring version with plenty of water coming off the slopes and with some help from the several beaver dams just behind this location.
