"Cypresses In Provence"

Cypresses in the south of France. We were there last Spring just as the red poppies were coming out.  Visiting the town of St. Remy de Provence and it's environs certainly a highlight.

"Lake Tahoe - Spring Pond"

This is a marsh and pond near Kings Beach in north Lake Tahoe. I've painted this scene on location several times, but this is work from a plein air painting this past Spring and reference photos. Directly across from the lake it used to be a dumping ground, but now has been restored to its pristine state. Very beautiful!

"China Cove Pt. Lobos" in Carmel

I was down in Carmel last week and was able to do some sketching and took many reference photographs in beautiful Pt. Lobos just south of the village. This is the iconic China cove which is on the south side of the park and not to be missed. I'm going to paint this in a larger format (18"x24") in the near future. Good fun!

"Last Farm on Highway 4" Plein Air

Inspired by Pam Glover who painted at this location years ago. I went out on a very warm day and painted the scene from almost the same perspective. This farm is located just as you leave Franklin Canyon. Painted 100% on location in a mid to late afternoon.
