"Gold Hill Barn - Summer"

I'm up today in Lake Tahoe on the last day of Summer and we are getting a really good storm coming in from the Southwest.  This painting, though, was done in the heat of mid-Summer near the historic town of Coloma in the gold country. Very hot day!

"Truckee River Morning" Lake Tahoe

This painting is from a few miles outside of Tahoe City going towards the town of Truckee. I studied with Antonin Passemard and his wife Anastasia dukhanina and they really lay in the oil paint on their plein air paintings. Great inspiration. This painting has lots of texture as well!
